Cub Scout Pack
156 was chartered in January 1956 by
Capshaw School
in Cookeville, Tennessee. We have been serving
boys and families in the city of Cookeville and the Upper Cumberland Region
for over 50 years.

Cub Pack 156 is a member of the
Upper Cumberland District,
of the
Middle Tennessee Council,
and of the
National Council of
the Boy Scouts of America.
Pack 156 gathers once a month for Pack Meetings at the Capshaw Cafeteria. In addition, each den meets at least twice a month
for meetings and trips.
Since 1930,
the Boy Scouts of America has helped younger boys through Cub Scouting. It
is a year-round family program designed for boys who are in the first grade
through fifth grade (or 7, 8, 9, and 10 years of age). Parents, leaders, and
organizations work together to achieve the purposes of Cub Scouting.
Pack 156 is a very family-oriented pack, and emphasizes building confidence,
developing character,
and great lifetime memories in our boys. We participate in a lot of
activities throughout the year as can be seen in the Calendar of Events
page.
Cub Scouting encourages each boy to strive for his personal best, a lesson
that will help him achieve success throughout his adult life.
